Аннотация: Brief observe of the specific features of metal silicide growth on amorphous silicon surface by UHV deposition is given. Some SMOKE and XPS results on magnetism and phase content in the Fe/a‐Si system are presented as illustration. Attention is paid to the internal stresses caused by volumetric effects.
