Laboratory of Fluid and Gas Mechanics

Main research areas:

1. Development of mathematical models, computational algorithms and numerical researching the time-dependent gas flows in the porous objects with various sources of energy release or absorption, including combustion zones.

2. Construction of mathematical models and their numerical implementation for studying the intensive interactions of gas and liquid media.

3. Development of models and numerical study of fluid resonant oscillations in natural reservoirs.

4. Investigation of the initiation and propagation of detonation waves in complicated configuration channels and supersonic flows.
